Hey Jason -- I loved reading a bit more about you. Thanks for your honesty. You've inspired me, too.. since I was tagged this week. Happy holidays!

p.s. I also totally dig "Hottie and the Fatso." LOL!! I think I'll suggest something similar to my long-time BF -- I think that's an awesome idea.... (esp now that GirlPie endorsed it!)

First off: thanks to @Ambercadabra for being how I think I found this great blog (via twitter.)
Second: Jason, you are adorable -- I'm so delighted that you did this list. I'd just read a smart post of yours and had to know more (looking for a twitter handle to click on, actually.) SO great to hear your voice, learn just enough and not too much, and get a better sense of connection -- very well done.

May I weight in? (Butting in with free advice worth twice what you paid for it is, uh, what I do.)
1) Game show host? Look at Drew Carey. No excuses. Do a podcast game show. (You do SO know how!)

2) College radio DJ? How great for me! I'm old and need to keep up on new music that even a boomer could love... can you intro me (us) to one new song or band or record (that's how old I am) each week to ease me into it all? Strong on lyric, easy on hatred? (I've heard the first and last on your list -- will seek out the others.)

3) Go to Vegas with my next time, I win at everything, all beginners luck, have no idea what I'm doing and clean up. Don't do it more than twice a decade, but something works. Every. Single. Hand/spin/pull. Maybe I got your share. Limit your bets to matchsticks.

4) See if you can take your kids, one at a time, on the shorter business jaunts. It's a brilliant thing my folks did to help me see another side of the parent, what work means, bond over travel hassles, clients love meeting the mini-you and like you more for it (it's NOT baby-sitting, it's father-child training/bonding on your monthly Take-My-Kid-To-Work Trip.

5) My BoyPie and I do the same thing, under a less funny but just as clever moniker west of you, focused on low-cost ethnic finds. Photos instead of podcasts (he's shy) but a great way to make use of what we do/love anyway.

6) Ditto -- consider getting a fitness check-in buddy -- lots of sites have them, cause just like I nag myself: we gotta take better care, especially at this age. Ask yourself: what's it gonna take? My kids tearing up at my hospital bed after the heart attack? Start now, if not for them -- for me. (Kid-ding, duh.)

7) You are still in politics in a way, since web 2.0 is making every voice heard, and we see those with the best ideas delivered in the most grokable way rise... my field is also a LOT like politics, for many of your same reasons (and similar to B2C marketing, oddly.)

So keep up the stumping in your adopted profession, keep up the calls for awareness and action and accountability and all the parallels to both of your passions. I'm very pleased to have met you. Keep up the good work.

Jason, thanks for playing along...Amber tagged me and I am still mad at her. Kidding! :) It's great to learn more about people that we have become friends with and I think this meme did it's job in that respect. I love the name of your podcast, what fun! And, I am with you on the beer! So, I promise that the next time we hang out...a beer on me! ;-)
