Brand Haiku – Delta

stone lantern 300x225 Brand Haiku – DeltaToday, I’m participating in a project with 20+ other bloggers. Each of us is writing a haiku about a recent experience we’ve had with a brand.

Devised by the crafty Aaron Strout from Powered, this Brand Haiku initiative is set up so that you can link from here to the next blogger on the chain, and then from that blog to the next one, etc.

I’ve seen the previews, and there are some hilarious and awesome haikus out there. Check em out!

Brand Haiku – Delta

Why don’t more airlines
have in-air WiFi option
just like Delta does?

Bonus Brand Haiku – Machete

Watched “Machete”
Despite Jessica Alba
I wasted two hours

The next link in the Brand Haiku chain is Chris Carfi from Edelman Digital. Check out his effort right here.

You can play too! Leave your Brand Haiku in the comments. Best one wins a copy of my book – The Now Revolution Good luck!

Wow! Kudos everyone for fantastic entries. Picking a winner was WAAAAY harder than I expected. My favorite is......(drum roll).......Becca G with:

AT&T Jerk-
This call may be recorded.
Dont make me call twice

Summarized very succinctly a circumstance we've all had. Well done!

I also really liked Mpace101, Susan Baier, and Michael Cary. As haikus, they were perhaps my favorite. But, because this is #brandhaiku, and they didn't reference particular brand experiences as much as Becca, she wins a copy of The NOW Revolution.

Thanks again to all for playing. We'll have more contests and giveaways as we get closer to book launch date (Feb 1, 2011).

Dear Very Valued Customer
Don't count on reply

LOVE this one! So very true.

Verizon Wireless
A Mi-Fi and an iPad
Are not an iPhone

I feel that one 100% as a Mi-Fi and IPad user.

Not quite. "Wireless" is 3 syllables ;)

Starbucks Coffee
An expensive indulgence
A cheap mental fuel.

Lots of Starbucks references here, and on other blogs that are doing #brandhaiku

Interesting.

Dreams of moldy fruit
White strawberries all over

Jay - thanks again for participating. Loved your original and alternate haikus. I also love the fact that you've spawned a whole other set of brand haikus in your comments. I'm in awe of the creativity.

@aaronstrout

You could have commented in haiku. Slacker. Thanks for coming up with all this. Udaman.
