Interesting post again and agree on your thought on resourcing.  

I think social media monitoring and analytics will be more important every day,  if you don&#039;t monitor your brand/product/website how do you know where to engage? I totally agree that you first need to setup a corporate social media strategy,  why and where do you want to listen for what and how will your engagement strategy will look like.  

Because SMM is part of my daily business to monitor one of my primairy websites I built a free social media monitoring tool myself because most a too expensive for a little company like mine. It is like a simple search engine that will &quot;digg&quot; into all major social media websites (any type of SM) to determine your exposure. It is mainly developed to monitor your website social media rank but you can also use it to lookup keywords, brands and product names. This will help you to determine easy where you COULD engage... it still doesn&#039;t help you how to engage ofcourse! :-)

I wonder what you think of it and if you have any tips for improvement. Remember it is a free SMM tool to simply get a idea where people are talking about you or your website.
