Anna has been with Convince & Convert since 2016 and has over 15 years of experience developing super-smart content, social, and digital marketing strategies for companies ranging from up-and-coming startups to Fortune 500s. Her experience includes pretty much any industry you can think of and features some of the world’s biggest and most well-known brands, such as Nike, Farmers Insurance, Oracle, American Fidelity, The University of Arizona, and many, many more.
Named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Content Marketing, Anna is a content expert who loves tackling clients’ toughest digital marketing problems. In case you’re wondering, her last name is pronounced “her-ROCK.”. She’s also a cohost on the long-running and wildly popular Social Pros podcast—which was originally started and headed up by Convince & Convert’s founder, Jay Baer.
Prior to Convince & Convert, Anna worked at several of Arizona’s largest ad agencies. Although she has a passion for digital marketing strategy today, she originally got her start as a traditional copywriter and brand strategist. After receiving one too many website comps during the initial dot com boom and being told to “just fill in the lorem ipsum placeholders”, she jumped into the content strategy/content marketing worlds and hasn’t looked back. When she’s not dotting the I’d and crossing the t’s on C&C client work, you’ll find Anna living up to the old “work hard, play hard” adage. Sometimes, that means strapping on her skates and competing with the Arizona Derby Dames as her roller derby alter-ego, Lady MacDeath. Other times, that means sneaking away for the occasional ditch day at Disneyland. There’s also nothing she loves more than hanging out with some of Phoenix’s best craft beer, a weekend full of video games, and getting plenty of couch time with husband, dog, and cat.
