Neen James, keynote speaker and author, joins the Social Pros Podcast to discuss the value of developing your own attention system.
Build Your Attention System
Gaining attention has always been at the center of marketing. Whether it’s content, design, packaging, placement, or any other aspect of getting your product into someone’s hands, the first step is to capture attention.
In today’s market, the sheer amount of choices and stimuli mean that getting someone’s attention is not enough; you have to be able to keep it. To do this successfully takes a strategic approach, which Neen James refers to as an attention system.
In the same way you invest money and look for a return on investment, a successful attention system begins with an investment of your attention. Random gestures are nice, but by systematically paying attention to your clients and potential customers, you will show them that they matter to you while earning their attention before you even begin to tell them about your product.
In This Episode
- Why keeping attention is so important in today’s market.
- Why attention has to be systematic.
- How to choose the right social channels to capture and keep attention.
- How to build real connections systematically.
- Why paying attention is the best way to capture and hold it in return.
