A recent survey from Netpop Research showed that U.S. Internet users are spending much more time communicating online, instead of entertaining themselves.

That got me thinking? Aren’t they the same thing?

  1. LOVE IT! What a great post, Jason.

Your statement about Scott Baio made me LOL. I honestly believe that it’s both. Entertainment AND information. I learn a lot and I in all honestly, do not watch the news and have found with Twitter, I don’t need to. All the best headlines are being Tweeted out there for me-keeps me from having to sift through the b.s. for the real gems! And the drama is totally true-pure entertainment.

Thanks for posting this and making me laugh!

  9. Hey Jason,

You should take a look at Seesmic.com, a video conversation site that empowers the next move in Social Media… video. A lot of what you’ve said is noticed a lot on that site by everyone in that community and noticed much more quickly than on Twitter, Facebook or any other status update, blog or other social connection website.

Note: You can import your YouTube video into the Seesmic.com Public Timeline. Just be ready to show your face because they will reply their comments via video and expect the same from you.
